Kings, Queens and Jacks. The never changing English pattern cards that we have always used has images that reflect only one part
of society. The psychological effects of us always seeing others in positions of power and authority and also of not seeing those who
look like us in these positions, is something that has a monumental impact and one that I hope to address with this set of playing cards.
Imagine playing with Kings and Queens that look like you, or older versions of you, or members of your family, friends and so on.
Making them easy to relate to, also giving children and adults, the ability to subconsciously visualise themselves in these roles and
positions. It becomes something that in the minds of the players, is completely normal, even if the reality does not yet reflect that.
This is a step towards that reality.
